Naturally Versatile.
The ION 7 was developed using NOVA's new design software, which has already been used for the development of the XENON and MENTOR 7 (Light). This makes it a fluid wing with a natural ability in all phases of flight and practice. Ease of take-off, efficiency in cross-country flight, maneuverability and precision during dynamic flight maneuvers and finesse of the flare on landing are all assets that will delight pilots.

The design of the ION 7 is innovative and it is built on the basis of tested and proven materials. The new leading edge rods reduce the number of seams and promote the entry of air from takeoff (Air Scoop). With the "Mid Cell Links", the solidity of the leading edge is further optimized, which improves performance, especially in accelerated flight.

The latest version of our design software makes it possible to simulate flight maneuvers such as collapses with extreme precision. The ION 7 combines unprecedented stability and healthy behavior during collapses, even in accelerated flight. These in-flight characteristics make access to SIV maneuvers simple and stress-free. Easy cross country.
In terms of design, the ION 7 is based on the MENTOR 7 (Light), the XC wing. Among the main features, pilots note its very high stability and high top speed. On this side, the ION 7 offers what is usually only found in high-end EN B wings. Added to this are very good gliding performance, an easy-to-use throttle and good “bite” in thermals. Fast downhill techniques such as big ears, B-stalls and engaged 360s are also easy to perform. Nothing really stands in the way of safe and comfortable distance flying.
Freestyle the way you like it.
Thanks to its obvious maneuverability and its great stability, the ION 7 makes it easy to start acro. The SAT enters cleanly, the wing-overs are ample and efficient, stalls are easy to find, and the helis turn well. The brake travel is very long, making an unintentional stall extremely unlikely. With the ION 7, you can easily perform all the basic acro maneuvers and thus refine your piloting.
