DOUBLESKIN 2 - Ultra-light utility
The DOUBLESKIN 2 (EN/LTF A) can be many things - depending on its size, it can be a dynamic mini canopy or a relaxing, thermally reliable touring wing, always with you on your trips, expeditions, simple flights or whatever use you find for it. But what it always is: ultra-light and super-safe.
More sizes for every need. With its four sizes, the DOUBLESKIN 2 covers a total weight range from 55 to 120 kg and is EN A certified. Compact when packed, the smallest size (16) weighs just 2.41 kg. There's a size for every requirement you have of your mountain paraglider. Another advantage of the DOUBLESKIN 2 is its suitability for teaching, with an appropriate wing loading. Enjoy the benefits of a light, safe wing right from your first flight. The different applications are illustrated in the diagram below.
Tip: if you're looking for a smaller, livelier mountain wing, check out the BANTAM 2 (EN D) in sizes 14 and 12.
A reliable companion. Thanks to a new profile and A-lines set further back, the DOUBLESKIN 2 is extremely resistant to collapses. Gliding performance and stability have been enhanced with a 4.9 aspect ratio and a more complex structure: diagonal ribs and more vectorial bands than in its predecessor. The compact wing remains stable even in accelerated flight and glides efficiently through turbulent air. Natural maneuverability enables effortless turning in light thermals. In turbulent conditions, the high damping maintains a stable airspeed and prevents unwanted rolling.
Easy take-off. The DOUBLESKIN 2's simple, torsion-resistant 7 mm wide Kevlar risers make it easy to prepare for take-off - from the very first flights to take-offs in demanding alpine terrain. The lines are short and their sheaths are colored, which simplifies untangling and increases their durability. The DOUBLESKIN 2's take-off behaviour is particularly easy in a wide range of conditions and with different techniques. You don't have to adapt to the wing, the wing adapts to you.
From light to extreme. Designed specifically for Hike & Fly, mountaineering and Bivouac flying, these products are developed to be as light and compact as possible. To this end, we use the most advanced materials and technologies, without compromising safety. To make the most of your “Ultra-Light” equipment for as long as possible, take particular care when handling it.
The DOUBLESKIN 2 has been optimized in this respect: more cells and a more complex internal structure ensure better performance, greater stability and easier handling.
