The new Geo 6 represents both the biggest performance increase and the most dramatic weight gain in the entire series. A completely new design allows for significantly higher speed and better glide throughout the speed range, with True Active Air Performance. Modern construction techniques and judicious use of materials have resulted in a 350 gram weight saving over the previous version.
This is the ideal wing for travel and adventure in the intermediate range. Able to take you far cross-country while having a very low weight and volume, it wears as well as it flies.
The Shark Nose profile has been improved by reworking the openings to increase internal pressure at all incidence angles, and adding G-Strings cords, as on the Rush 5. The G-Strings keep the openings in optimal shape in accelerated flight, and improve reopening, which means that the closures reopen faster and cause less altitude loss. The leading edge benefits from a cutout with dual 3D shaping and improved canopy tension in this aerodynamically critical area.
New internal structure
The G6's performance in turbulent air and accelerated flight has been significantly improved by spanwise tension bands and diagonal modifications that improve cohesion, sail tension and spanwise flow, resulting in better turbulence absorption and reduced sail deformation.
The internal structure of the G6 is designed to improve its longevity. The top surface is a mix of Dominico 20D and Porcher 27 Classic, and the bottom surface is Porcher 27 Classic. The Geo 6 is 1.55kg lighter than the Buzz Z6 and 350g lighter than the previous model, while maintaining strength and durability.
Takeoff and flight
About the G6, comfort and ease of flight come to mind first. The lighter canopy, improved performance, and a more consistent, agile feel make for easier takeoff and inflation than ever before. In the air, the handling is intuitive, fun and very agile. The brake action is progressive with a precise feel. Structural improvements allow for a wing that is both comfortable and provides good information about the air mass in thermals and turbulence.
Lightweight and space-saving, the Geo 6 is ideal for traveling pilots and those who do rando-flights. It is aimed at pilots who fly about 30 to 50 hours a year, or more experienced pilots who are looking for a high level of passive safety.
