The Rid'Air team's opinion: " ... "
This new version replaces the M6 and comes to our range between the Delta 3 and the Zeno. Significantly better performing than the M6, especially in accelerated flight, the M7 also performs better in reopening, requires less active control in flight and has better cohesion in turbulent air. It is the ideal wing for experienced pilots who are ready to upgrade to the EN D class to have the performance and flying fun of modern 2-liners while maintaining more comfort, safety, and confidence in flight.

The profile, inspired by that of the Zeno, with the A-lines relatively far from the leading edge, allows for a very solid front end that resists collapses well. It allows you to go further in turbulence and climb with every gust.
Weight and cohesion are optimized due to the care taken in designing the internal structure. The canopy absorbs turbulence without deformation in the chord or span, which means that handling remains exploitable at all times, even in the strongest and most teasing thermals. Combined with the glider's cohesion, its solidity gives you confidence. By reducing pilot fatigue, the canopy allows you to enjoy the full potential of a Cross day.
With the new riser system, you maintain full control in accelerated flight. By operating both the B's and C's, this innovative system allows you to directly affect the angle of attack without distorting the profile. In accelerated flight, the information felt naturally through the risers allows the pilot to maintain the solidity of the canopy during turbulent passages.
The M7 is EN D certified and is aimed at pilots who have the corresponding level, although the letter D obtained is mainly due to the use of additional lines intended to make the closures during the certification tests. The level of comfort and safety is close to that of the lower class. We used these additional lines in the tests because it was out of the question to deliberately weaken the structure of our wing just to get a lower EN certification letter. Producing a wing that gives you True Performance in real life conditions remains our priority. Numerous collapses have been performed and these tests have shown excellent reopening abilities - better than the M6, as well as less tendency to tie.
The pilot has a very good knowledge of the wing's characteristics.
The M7 is designed for experienced pilots who are progressing to high-level Cross flights. It is ideal for skilled pilots moving up from a lower class or for those who want an easier, quieter ride than a 2-line without sacrificing performance. It is recommended for experienced pilots who fly at least 100 hours per year and have recently completed SIV training.
The M7 is without a doubt the best 3-line wing we have ever produced. After a long period of testing in very strong conditions, we are very pleased with the final result. It is a powerful wing built in the spirit of True Performance, it is accessible, agile and offers a high level of safety.
