The Swift 5 is a reference wing in the Sport-Performance-Light Intermediate category. It was developed with the same technologies as our performance wings, the Enzo 3 and the Zeno, plus some innovations.
More than fifteen years of R&D in lightweight sails has resulted in a sail that is not only top of its class in performance but also one of the lightest. With reduced inertia, the Swift 5 is more agile and maneuverable than the Rush 5, and it transmits air mass more accurately. The Swift also makes a difference in the areas of inflation, takeoff and overall handling.
Like all of our performance and competition wings, the Swift 5 makes a difference in active air and rough conditions. Hundreds of hours of testing in active and turbulent conditions were completed as part of its development to ensure that the wing met our requirements, in keeping with our doctrine of true usable performance in turbulent air over the entire speed range.
The R&D team focused on the internal structure of the canopy to make it even stronger, more compact and more reassuring than the Swift 4. This extra structural strength makes the wing more comfortable and performs better in turbulent conditions. Compared to previous generation wings, the Swift 5's profile retains its shape better in active air, allowing the wing to fly through turbulence more efficiently.
The Swift 5's airfoil has been designed to be more stable and more stable than the previous generation.
Ease of use and a high level of passive safety were prioritized, which is why the Swift 5 retains moderate aspect ratio. The performance gains come from the optimization of the line plan and the use of a new generation of 3D cutting where the leading edge is made in three distinct sections to obtain a clean surface without parasitic folds. A new panel cutout and mini-ribs in the trailing edge also reduce parasitic drag. A refined Shark Nose profile improves the wing's behavior in all areas: stability, comfort, performance and braking range, making the wing extremely resistant to spin or stall in particular.
A solid wing and top-notch performance is great, but you can't forget that you're flying to have fun! The R&D team focused on handling and spent a lot of time optimizing the feel and coordination of the turn on the original platform (the Rush 5), in light fabric, the feel under the Swift is even better. With a precise, linear feel to the control at the start of the race, there is an efficient thermal climb, flat turns with little braking and increased performance in lighter airs. On the second half of the run, the control gives authority to keep control in stronger thermals.
Although EN B certified, the Swift 5 is not suitable for beginner pilots.
Versatility and freedom For years, the PI series has offered a remarkable all-round Hike & Fly package in terms of lightness combined with excellent performance and a high fun factor. The third generation places even greater emphasis on the original motto of this product, "versatility and lightness": the PI 3 comes in two additional sizes, 21 and 25,...
With Enzo 3 and Zeno technology The Mantra M7 is a completely new design that incorporates the technologies of the Enzo 3 and Zeno into a compact and efficient 3-line. The profile, planform and arch have been developed from the Zeno, while the aspect ratio remains more moderate at 6.5. In terms of agility, comfort and safety, the M7 is comparable to the...
THE SWISS KNIFE MADE IN SUPAIR A versatile, fun and safe wing EN A+ paraglider for autonomous pilots. A top-of-the-range EN A, stretched for its class. Efficient and safe.
